How products earn publication
Selection, sourcing, normalization, analysis, ranking and monetization are separate gates.
Products don't become Favorites because we like them. They become Favorites by meeting our standards.
Select without selling position
Category relevance, consumer availability, formulation diversity and research value may determine what enters the queue. Brands, gifts and commission rates cannot buy inclusion or rank.
Source the current product
We prefer a current official label, identifiable package version, official manufacturer record and a dated merchant price. Conflicting sources stay unresolved until reconciled.
Normalize without guessing
Ingredient names, forms, units, servings and costs are normalized conservatively. Proprietary blends and missing amounts remain visible.
Separate facts from claims
Declared label facts, manufacturer statements, independent verification, ingredient research, exact-product research and editorial analysis appear as different layers.
Score with confidence
NutraScore uses seven published dimensions. Coverage below 85% cannot enter a ranking, and a material verification failure can withhold publication regardless of the numeric result.
Publish the evidence passport
Decision pages show sources, component scores, confidence, limitations, price capture, affiliate status, formula freshness and material corrections.
Affiliate independence
Commercial availability may affect which purchase links can be offered, but it cannot improve a score, erase a limitation or change ranking order. A clear commission disclosure will appear beside every material affiliate recommendation.
Updates and removals
Formula changes, stale prices, lost certification, recalls, source conflicts or material new evidence can trigger re-verification, score versioning, ranking suspension or removal.
